Who we are
The idea for S&W Septic and Portable Services had been a long time coming. For years, we talked about starting something together. The opportunity came when a friend of ours in Alabama, in the septic business, kept telling us about the need he saw for septic installers in Georgia. He was working with a mobile home builder coming to the area who didn't have a reliable company to handle the work.
Soon after, Ben left his job at Georgia Power to work in construction. With the new connection to the building industry, our friend's idea came up again. We saw a clear need in the market. Knowing we had always wanted to be in business together, we decided to leap.
We spent a lot of time planning how to do this right, ensuring it would be a business our customers could count on for the long haul. After talking with a septic installer who assured us he enjoyed the work and gave us his support, we officially launched S&W Septic and Portable Services.
We started slow, getting our equipment and licenses in order. Our very first job was a big learning experience. We realized we made a couple of mistakes with our equipment, but we quickly got it straightened out. By February of the following year, the work had grown enough for Ben to come on full-time, doing a couple of septic pumps and portable toilet jobs a week, along with an install every so often.
The business continued to grow, and Jonathan was able to leave his job at Georgia Power to join full-time. We've since added more great people to our team, and we're so blessed to have so much of our local community’s support.
That's why we're here. We provide an essential service to our community. We are S&W Septic and Portable Services, and we're happy to be the trusted local experts our neighbors call when they need us most.
